Our Dreams Are Born in Poetry

so often
we are thwarted
by disparity
between
the things
we have believed in
and the things
that we have seen

the dream is not
forgotten in the
fight to find our way,
but the will is
often weakened
when injustice
rules the day

the heart
indeed may stutter
when the bloom falls
from the rose;
but our dreams
are born in poetry,
and our lives are
lived in prose

the secret to
a dream come true
is holding tight
to will;
knowing that
what is can change
and dreams
they cannot kill!

      1. Trizia, I had some issues with the site and WP helped me correct it but you will need to click the Friends/Family link on the menu to access the private stuff. There’s a follow button there too. Hopefully, we fixed it so you get all the posts.

    1. Right!?!

      I was watching a documentary the other day and an old quote of JFK’s was spoken. He referred to campaigning vs. governing this way. The phrase wouldn’t leave my head. I could only think of how that felt like my life and my dreams. Sooooo – here you have it. Sustainable verbiage 😊

      1. Hey, Sista, you might have to click the menu to get to my private side. Had some issues they helped me fix yesterday. Gonna try to add a follow button on that side so any private posts show up in your reader too.
